SEACOMP recently redefined roles within our manufacturing facility in Dongguan, China. We originally designed one position to cover many different aspects of our manufacturing and operations. After some evaluation, we decided to strengthen those aspects and divide the responsibilities between multiple personnel.
With the redesigned roles, we welcome John MacVicar as our new VP of Manufacturing. John brings over 30 years of experience that covers manufacturing, production, operations, NPI, and quality. John will oversee all manufacturing aspects of our customer’s programs within our production facility.
John has spent the last 20 years living and working in Asia. He has global experience working with customers and suppliers from all continents and a background in electronics engineering. This combination allows for John to continuously improve processes and technology while developing and motivating the people under his direction.
John has had a relationship with the SEACOMP / Displaytech entities since the early 2000’s as a buyer for one of our customers. With the redesigned role, we immediately thought of John and invited him to review the position. Mike Szymanski, CEO, says, “We always had an absolute delight in working with John. We are excited to learn and grow from John and all the industry knowledge he brings to SEACOMP.”
