Our facility in Dongguan has powered SEACOMP’s electronics manufacturing services for nearly a decade. As a natural progression of SEACOMP’s growth from individual component brands to a full-service manufacturing partner, adding a factory to our operations in China allowed us to meet our customers’ needs with product development, design engineering, and turnkey manufacturing.

It’s no secret that China is a powerhouse location for electronics manufacturing. With the country’s large skilled workforce, low manufacturing costs, and strong component sourcing and supply chain network, China’s dominance in the field made it a great choice for our first factory. Today, the resilience of this established manufacturing location holds true, with our modernized employee support initiatives ensuring that our employees are set up for success. Inside The Facility

Working and Living Conditions: Since purchasing the facility in 2015, we’ve made a number of upgrades that benefit our employees’ working conditions. We have allocated 88.4% of our CapEx to numerous factory improvements, including:

  • Installed air conditioning in dorm rooms
  • Improved quality of food with more protein added to meals
  • Remodeled and upgraded kitchen and restrooms
  • Updated uniforms that are comfortable for seasonal weather
  • Installed solar water heaters for dormitories for sustainability

Education Initiatives: We believe in giving all employees the opportunity to learn and further their education. SEACOMP has English tutors available for our team members in China, and we have provided financial support for staff pursuing their MBA degrees.

Employee Recognition: Employee recognition is a key focus at this facility and acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our employees is important to us. To this end, we hold celebrations to recognize significant achievements, such as when anniversary milestones are met.

We also celebrate holidays together as a team, fostering a sense of community. Our celebrations include notable events such as Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day.
